Painting has always been my passion. I consider myself on a journey, learning and discovering with every step. I am inspired by landscapes and nature. Every painting is an exciting adventure for me, with a unique feel. I vary my style a bit to achieve the atmosphere and mood that I am trying to capture.
It wasn’t possible for me to study art and life got busy so I gave up. But now I am coming back to it, learning and discovering more with each picture. I paint with oils on hardboard. I did some paintings on canvas but prefer the smooth surface of hardboard. I used mdf for few paintings but decided it’s too heavy and thick, hardboard is better quality (longer lasting) and easier to frame, being much thinner. I prime it with several layers using quality acrylic gesso. I paint with the best (artist) quality oil paints only.
I am not aiming to do photo-realistic painting, more of an impressionistic style.
