- Panting from real life, no photos
- Using limited amount of time
- Keeping the painting small
Painting from life is much better than from photos, photos are already flattened and obviously less lively than the real thing. Photos are great for reference but limiting if its' the only thing. I would paint everything from life if I could, it's just not possible at this stage of life, unless I want to paint mostly just still life (which I don't want to).
Keeping the painting going even when I don't have a lot of time. I should hopefully have half an hour to do a small painting most days, but I do realize that it's not likely I will be able to do this every single day.
What am I going to paint? I don't actually know yet, I guess everything and anything that is around and is at least remotely interesting. Will just have to see! :)
I only paint with oil, mainly on hardboard cause I don't much like the grainy canvas texture.
